I have a 1026R and have been using my Chevy Tahoe to tote around my SCUT. What is everyone else using to haul these tractors around with? What is the minimum you should have to haul a 16' car trailer with a SCUT or CUT?

I see some people hauling these trailers and tractors around with Jeep Cherokee's, but IMHO, you get the tail wagging the dog thing going on. When you say a 16' car hauler, I assume that weighs about 2,000 pounds, it would be less if it was a utility trailer. So add that to what your tractor weighs and make sure your vehicle can haul that weight. I would say your tahoe is the smallest I personally would go with that trailer.

So many variables. I would say that the big question is how far and how often. If we are talking about the occasional trip to the dealer 5 minutes down the road, I would be OK with the Tahoe pulling that size/weight. I would still prefer to hear about working brakes on the trailer. I don't think that the Tahoe has a factory installed brake controller, does it? I used to have a Yukon and would never have hesitated to move that load with my truck.

I don't move mine very often. I have moved it twice (once over 80 miles) with my F250. Clearly enough tow vehicle, but the trailer I was using was probably at max capacity.

Correct, I have installed a brake box on the Tahoe and it works great. I have other options (Chevy 2500HD, Ram 3500 Laramie) for towing was just interested to find out what others use to pull the tractors with. I generally just use Tahoe to shuttle back and forth to dealer for service every few months. The only weight is the tractor, never take any of the attachments. Weight of just the tractor is 1,444 lbs plus 1,600 lbs for trailer, so just over 3,000 lbs total haul.

I use my Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 14 foot trailer when I have to move my 1023E.

I dont move it often but when I do I'm never going very far, make sure the overdrive is off, and make sure I'm not going too fast. In winter I make sure I go even slower, but only moved it once when snow was on the ground.

With a 14 foot trailer, not much room for implements wish I had bigger.
