I'm new to the forum, having recently purchase a 1025R FEL 60D MMM and also a Wallenstein BX42 chipper. I wasn't sure if that would be too much chipper for the tractor but have now used it for the last month and find it a great setup. I have 3.5 acres with many white pines, locust, and silver maples. Prior to the purchase I had a huge burn pile twice a year. Anyway, the 1025R has plenty of power for anything I can fit in the chute. Generally if it won't fit in, I'm cutting it up for firewood. The biggest limbs will cause a slight drop in PTO RPM but not a big deal and the vast majority of what I put in doesn't even phase it. Took me a second look at the manual to figure out how to get the rear PTO to stay on with me dismounted but JD seems to have thought through the switch operation very well. Thanks to a few forum members who had posted some info on the Wallenstein products.

I bought the chipper at Woodward Crossings, and had excellent service. Unlike my JD Dealer, who in theory sells the same product, Woodward Crossings knew everything about the chipper, and their price was much less than the dealer. Anyway, to me that's a perfect design, and with the iMatch hitch it goes on and off in less than a minute.

We have the same chipper olestandfast and bought it from the same place (Woodward Crossings) and I agree, good people to deal with.
Good luck with it.
BTW, Welcome to GTT.

Welcome from Ohio. :greentractorride:

A chipper would be a great addition to my arsenal. I get nervous in my old age when I have to burn brush. Especially after I see a news story about a brush burn gone bad.

1025R w/Wallenstein BX 42

Okay, so I finally got out and took a picture of it (took mower off for some loader and chipper work this morning). Uh-oh, the photo is upside down. Sorry about that. Anyway, perfect size chipper for the tractor. With quick hitch so easy to take on and off, it's a 15 minute operation to mount, chip, and remove.
