I was looking at Box blades on the Internet and I noticed my search pulled up this page....

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Titan-6-Box-Blade-Tractor-Attachment-Category-1-Cat-0-Scarifier-Shank-Teeth/922530208?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=6350&adid=22222222227069088326&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=175401818307&wl4=pla-281861433101&wl5=9017364&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=114435481&wl11=online&wl12=922530208&wl13=&veh=sem

Not sure that this was intended as it is in the Home Improvement Category

Subsections - Tools, Power Tools, Saw Accessories.........

"Saw Accessories"? Ok........

I know WalMart is battling Amazon, but I never imagined they would be in the 3 point implement sales business. Granted, this is a Titan Manufactured product but Wal Mart is claiming free shipping on their website.

So, would any of you purchase a 3 point implement online through WalMart?

Personally, I don't think I would.

I just found it interesting that they are in this market as it requires customer service for coordinating the shipping, off truck delivery and then issues with the product.

When you click on the Titan link on the WalMart site, it takes you to all of the Titan products which are for sale on the WalMart website. On that link, it says each of the items are sold and shipped by Titan Products, so WalMart is obviously getting some referral fee or other piece of the sale. It begs the question, why not just go directly to Titan and purchase from them?

Boy, that's potentially confusing......

There is a company called Titan Implements, based out of Tennessee. Here is there website.

Titan Box Blades

Then there is Titan Distributors, which sells Tractor Attachments and some implements. Here is there website

https://www.titandistributorsinc.com/

I wanted to compare the pricing on the Wal Mart site to Titan's site directly when I started locating the other Titan companies.

It appears the 6' Box Blade directly from Titan is $799

https://www.palletforks.com/titan-6-box-blade-tractor-attachment.html

Where the Titan 6' Box Blade through Walmart is selling for $779

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Titan-6-Box-Blade-Tractor-Attachment-Category-1-Cat-0-Scarifier-Shank-Teeth/922530208?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=6350&adid=22222222227069088326&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=175401818307&wl4=pla-281861433101&wl5=9017364&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=114435481&wl11=online&wl12=922530208&wl13=&veh=sem

Not what I would have expected.....

And the potential for confusion gets even worse.....They are both in Tennessee......

Titan Implements is located at ;

Titan Implement LLC

P.O. Box 649
232 Industrial Lane
Decatur, TN 37322
Phone: 423-334-0012 Fax: 423-334-0023
Email: [email protected]

Where as Titan Distributing is located at ;

Titan Distributing
141 Eastley St.
Collierville, TN 38017
800 605 8241

It looks like they are about 107 miles apart or about a 2 hour drive......

I wondered if somehow they were connected, but it doesn't appear to be the case.......

Websites are different so it doesn’t appear there is any affiliation. So just to be clear Titan distributors is the common pallet fork one.

" the Famous One".........Interesting way to put it........

It appears the Titan out of Decatur sells their equipment through distributors and dealers as I didn't find any prices or the direct online ordering capabilities for their equipment. There is that distinction between the two companies, which I think is important.

Dieselshadow, Do you happen to know anyone using any of the Titan Implement from Decatur, TN products? I am looking for an implement dealer source, different from that offered by other small tractor dealers in our area, for a local company I am involved with. I am interested in the quality, design differences etc. of their products and what distinguishes them from all of the other companies selling 3 point implements..

The Decatur company was started in 2014 by a father and son. For the life of me, I can't imagine why they didn't choose another company name to really permit them to build their own product brand identity and avoid any possible confusion with the Titan Distributing entity. Such things make a HUGE difference in the long haul, especially if the name has the potential for any product or service / quality issues or concerns associated with it..........

Titan out of Decatur only sells to dealers. They may rebrand their stuff as well. I’m not entirely sure.

Walmart is not selling this. It says on the page right under the price “sold & shipped by Titan........”.

This is a 3rd party seller. Walmart as well as Amazon has been doing this for a long time with 3rd party sellers.

So when you buy this item on Walmart's site, who do you pay?

Answer Walmart.......

Walmart's price is actually lower than Titan's direct from their website, by $20......

I know all about 3 party sellers as I am one for Amazon.........The person buy's the items from Amazon and either i ship directly to the client or Amazon has my inventory of the items and they ship, it's done both ways. But Amazon is definitely the seller as I pay them for that service.

I get my money after Amazon collects it from the buyer. They also are required to collect sales taxes in certain jurisdictions.

So what’s the difference? A 3rd party seller is a 3rd party seller either way.

The title of the thread says Walmart is selling xxxxx - they aren’t selling it - Titan is.

I received a 15 percent coupon for anything on Walmart.com. I don’t need it, but that would be a nice discount. If I needed that implement, I wouldn’t be scared of buying it. The coupon code is HELLO15.

That's interesting.

I ordered my ballast box direct from Titan and the shipping was free.

Since that purchase I've been getting a lot of emails from Titan about specials and such, and one of them announced a new site of theirs which is not tractor-related:

Titan Great Outdoors

I get emails almost everyday from Titan, it's possible I missed that one, usually just delete unless I'm interested in something.

https://youtu.be/p5cjoccZdB8 Here is a link of a guy that just bought a tiller made by the Decatur group. He seems to like it but hasn't used it yet. Says it's well made and gear driven.
