When I ordered my ballast box, my salesman sent me this info about weights for the ballast. Just thought I'd share incase
it wasn't already posted. It's mainly for the BW15073 ballast box.

Thanks, that is a great document! And timely as well, I am going to be posting a thread soon on ballasted-and what can happen when you don't. I will also add that to the technical library.

the PDF talks about CG being lowered but doesnt mention lowering your BB to help achieve that goal. When lifting a lot its best to lower that BB if possible near the ground.

Finished up my BB. Put one 3" pipe and one 4" pipe and filled with gravel. I also notched out the bottoms of both pipes so water could drain out.
I have two ten foot chains in the 4" and they just fit.
I then put together a cart so I could move the box out f the way. I think I could use better wheels cause that baby is heavy.

PDF has "sand cement" and Portland Cement the same weight. That's incorrect. There is another chart out there that shows different numbers.

Very nice!

I'm planning to do something similar to mine, soon, so thanks for the very nice presentation. I have a bunch of concrete spoils from a pad replacement project but I'm going to remove them all and pour the box full, adding pipes to hold tools. The green paint is a nice touch; a man after my own heart!

Great job!
