Oh if I was just starting out. :thumbup1gif:

Can't count the number of times I've weld something to my table to hold it.

And once a guy gets used to doing that, it's hard to break the habit. It would be a shame to wreck a nice table so fast.

I went this route when it was on sale recently for $59.99. Their shipping is only $6.99, so it was affordable to have it delivered to my home.

Adjustable Steel Welding Table

Dave

I have a similar table that I got from Eastwood. The one I have has some added features over the Harbor Freight one.. The height is adjustable & it has wheels on one side to allow it to be easily moved. .

One of my first welding projects after I bought a Lincoln wire feed was my welding table, very heavy. I would like to have all of the holes for jigs but I can't afford the mag drill.

I saw this link on another forum, these look like fantastic kits of the average DIY'er and even most pro weldors who need a flat and semi portable work surface. The prices seem very reasonable, and the quality seams great too.

I've casually pondered those tables; but other things in life have priority at the moment.

Some places rent magnetic drill presses.

Normally, a welding table is a bit larger than what you are building.

What would you weld on a welding table that is that small for use with a JD?
I guess there are other reasons to weld,,, other than tractor related projects,,,
I just doubt that I would do any welding like that. :dunno:

For me,,, there is a reason the welding machine is in the tractor shed,,,
