Sitting in the hot tub with the wife getting ready to call it a night when I hear a snap crackle crash!
So I get out and dried off. Head out to the front knowing what it was and do I need to get the tractor fired up for it’s first evening stroll.

Middle of summer. No wind. Quiet as and this old dead alder decides to drop its top across the driveway. So o fire up young Walter and head out to clear the driveway because the wife heads out early to do her shopping.

Now I know what I’m doing tomorrow… was going to put the loader up and deck back on but got sidetracked today. Glad I had it on. Didn’t even break a sweat. Tomorrow cleanup and cut the rest of the spur down.

Post-tree company clearing picture.

I know that this technically isn't what my MCUT conquered today but since I've been posting my project I thought I'd share the work the tree company did. The tree guys were very, very pleased with my work as it gave them plenty of space to work in. The only thing I spaced on is that I didn't have them move an existing tree that my 2025R cannot budge. It's okay though as that log is now buried under a bunch of smaller logs that the tractor can move and that I'll need to buck then split.

I'm also excited as for the first time ever I get to use my loader to go into a pile. In this case it's the giant pile of wood chips. I'll be taking video of the projects I tackle with that though.

Nice job, even without a grapple.

Next time try making a bigger notch. Should be 45°-60° face cut. Too shallow and it can come back when the notch closes.
Thanks bud. Not to worry it was a hard leaner. Fell right where I wanted it

Can't beat Stihl. Mines over 25 years old and starts right up no matter how long it sits.

I've got a bunch of Husky's that do the same. The 162SE in the lower right was bought new in 1982 and still going strong!
