What did you do with your JD LCUT today!

I know that there is a thread titled close to this on the SCUT section. So I thought that I would start one on the CUT section since that is what I have. I think there are more posters to the SCUT section of the forum then there are to the other sections so we will see what happens here. This may go nowhere. Maybe we can get some of the CUT members to start posting.

I got to try out my 990 with the 8B BH yesterday for the first time and also got to try out the Bro-Tek thumb that I ordered. I was running at about 1500 RPM and just doing a little digging and rock picking. This is the area I am going to put up a small Pole Barn to temporarily house the 990 and then it will become a wood shed and a storage shed after that. Once that is done then off we go to build a barn. All this stuff takes time. So below are some pictures and also a link to the same pictures and a couple of videos of me running the 8B with one of my sons in the background the other son was running the camera. You can see how rocky the place is (my father would affectionately call it a bone yard). One can also see that some of these rocks, or potatoes as I call them, are pretty big. I got a hold of one of them that had to be over 685 lbs because that is what the boom is rated on the 8B to be able to pick up and it could not do it. Thankfully the dipper is there and can do a little work as well.

@Fercik , can you tell us about those lights on the side of the cab above the door?
I can but I was planning to do so when writing my thoughts on 4R. With all addons and mods we have installed (we are still waiting for some parts). But if you can't wait I can provide some snippets about those lights.

Getting excited for spring so did a little maintenance (oil change and filter cleaning). Also tried out some of the touchless wash stuff from wr performance products, came out looking pretty good after being covered in clay for the past few months!

I like your seat cover, do you have a part number for it?
Thank you

Looks real nice! What is the read cover on the cross tube on your FEL? Also what is the black mounted device on the top of your loader curl cylinders or maybe it is on your front guard? Is that a camera?

@nekret are those two bucket level indicators set at different levels for two different attachments? Very nice tractor. 😁

red covers are 3" Oatey sewer plugs, behind them is a chunk of PVC with a slot cut out of the middle of it and some paracord for pull tabs on the end. I use it to store chain. Not my idea but is pretty darn handy to carry a little chain around and only costs a few bucks in parts.

The black device on the front guard is the front camera to my 2 camera setup (other is inside the cab pointing at the rear implement.

Thank you! yes my dealer was kind/weird enough to install a second on there for me without even asking, thought it was a little odd but now I have the left one setup for my bucket and the right for my forks, may wrap some tape around one of them for my grapple tines this summer.

Thanks. I do not know the size of the cross tube on my 300CX but I like the idea. I will check into it further. Also, what size chain and at what length are you able to store in it?

Nice I like it. I have thought about it many times especially when using the forks. Are you able to see with it at that height? I am guessing it is a pretty good camera resolution wise. Can you zoom in with it?

I can comfortably fit around 20 feet of 1/4" grade 70 in there and 4 hooks, probably could do a little more if I ordered thin-wall pvc but I wasn't in the order and wait mindset when i did that project 😅

Camera is not the best i've ever seen (field of view is really wide which distorts distances a bit) but is plenty good to see where the forks are paired with the 10" screen in the cab. its an amazon special so we'll see how well it holds up this summer. No zoom is available in real time but it records to an SD card so if you wanted to you can always do a homemade blooper reel and highlight the moment where you stabbed the wife's new fridge with the forks😂

Trailered my 3720 into my brother's shop today. Time to get ready for spring with some minor maintenance. Changed antifreeze, blasted out the radiator with an air over water gun. I'll get oil and filter tomorrow.

Got a bit of a shock trying to off load though. Started and moved when I loaded it ok. Got all unchained started it but it wouldn't move. Kept getting an error code 15. When I realized it was the seat I bounced up and down a couple times. Problem resolved.
Pic is after clean up last spring. Not going to this extreme this yr. Then I took it apart and buffed and waxed everything. Im just doing minor clean and service this yr.

Pulled a branch down out of my honey locust. I found the quick hitch is a handy place to carry my pole saw.

Not sure that meets the ballast requirement.

I've been using that for years - not only for my pole saw but for a shovel and other long handle tools and even my cane on those bad days. Also hang my chainsaw from the top hook.

There is just no place to put anything on my tractor - but it's just a little 2 series....

Larsen LED's went on front and back, used the TTWT kit with 80 in rear and 60's in front. I enjoyed it when I did the 2025r and it made a massive difference over factory halogens.
