I have the 12,000 lb version with rope on my jeep. I love it. One of those rare things you look at and think "That was a smart purchase".
Yup, they come in handy. We sold our Jeep KJ, but I used that winch for various projects. There was one time when I tied the rope to a Ponderosa Pine that I was cutting down. The tree was leaning towards the powerline. I used the winch to put enough tension on the tree to make sure it didn't fall into the powerline. Thankfully it went as planned. While I was cutting, my wife had the remote in her hand putting tension on the tree while I was cutting.

got my radiator and other parts the other week.

All fixed up. Only cost me my time thanks to the insurance you have to get when you do the JD 0% financing. It has a $500 deductible but instead of towing it to the dealer and having them do the work the insurance was able to pay me for labor which covered the deductible.
I haven't been doing too much with the tractor lately. No snow to plow and too many other projects that are a priority. But today a Racoon got hit on the road in front of our place. It was a big one so people were driving around it. It got hit on a blind hill so I decided I better get it off the road before there was an accident. No picture of the Racoon, but here is one of the loads of fill to cover it up. Unusual for me to be running the 1025R this early in the morning.

Good job, tombstone included!
The loader dollies came in yesterday. The package arrived in good shape; however, I'm missing 4 bolts/4 serrated nuts. I notified Kyle Peters @ Deck Dolly via email, and he responded right away. He apologized and said he will get those 4 bolts/nuts mailed out right away. Overall, the quality looks to be very good.
I'm happy to report that the dollies work exceptionally well. I can literally push this thing around with my pinkie finger.

Makes me wonder if these would work too: 1500 lb. Capacity Vehicle Dollies 2 Piece

Yes, they would, just not as well. The loader dollies turn on a dime. The Harbor Freight dollies that I have under my 1025R work, just not as well.

Ok. I can (I think) definitely see a difference in quality for the casters.

Not only quality, but the two-wheel vs four-wheel design is noticeable when it comes to maneuverability.

How did you manage to get the Deere insurance to pay you for the labor? Seems like they would want a dealer or authorized mechanic to do the work.

Well it’s technically just an insurance policy with Sentry insurance not Deere they are not an insurance company.

Plus I was a BMW master technician and now a service drive manager so I literally deal with these types of claims and adjusters all the time just on the automotive side.

1st most policys including this one can’t make you use a certain shop for repairs. But they will usually have a max they will pay out for said repairs if the shop you want to use charges more you would have to pay the difference.

2nd they want to pay as little as possible, dealer would have charged me $730 in labor plus he would have had to pay for it to get towed. Parts and parts so it was a win for the insurance also as they didn’t have to spend as much and I was able to recoup the deductible.

I tried playing hard ball a little to get the entire 730 but he wouldn’t budge and I settled because it cost me nothing but my time. Plus no offense to the techs at Deere but I know I will do the job correctly and probably better like cleaning gunk out of the corners when it’s all apart etc.
Spent the afternoon modifying a jd LVA11453 14.6cc pump to fit a 1 series. I have a LVA10328 11.9 cc coming too. I will reverse rotation and move front and rear covers to make it compatible with 1 series and 2025. I have to drill bosses out to make it work but the LVA11453 wasn't too bad. Also needed 1/2" ORFS Male x #10 SAE/ORB Male adapters as the bigger pumps have bigger outputs.
A big fir tree went down across the road about half a mile from my house yesterday. When we were coming home from some errands today I noticed no one took 4 big logs down in a deep ditch. About 6 feet long and from 15 to 24 inches in diameter. I knew someone would eventually go cut them up and take them. I put my grapple on and grabbed a chain. And made 4 trips to pull them out with the chain and haul them home in the grapple. Someone is going to get them it may as well be me. I think the reason they were still there is the shoulder is narrow and it's a main road so you can't park a pickup on the shoulder. But the tractor is narrower and it only took a minute or 2 for each one. Normally around here that stuff doesn't last long. But the tractor made just taking the whole logs easy. All the smaller stuff was gone that could be grabbed fast.

I grabbed them from the ends and pointed them straight forward so I could fit on the narrow shoulder all the way. Sideways they would have been in the lane. The shoulder is really a bike lane. The tractor just fits.

Just make sure to wipe the tires off before driving it into the house to grab the couch. Wives are real funny about getting muddy R4 tire prints on their clean floors........
@biodiesel
What ever you do... I'm copying because of your attention to detail. :)
I don't know if you want to copy, but here's the final outcome for the block heater receptacle.

And this is where I mounted the receptacle for the battery charger/maintainer/desulfator.

Thanks to my brother from another mother, @Mackford13, I was inspired to add a much-needed decal to complete the 120R loader.

I'm probably in the minority who doesn't mind the hood latch mechanism on the newer 1025R tractors. I did, however, find myself always looking for something to grab to quickly engage the latch. So, I decided to make my own hood latch tool to keep in the tractor toolbox. I took an old screwdriver and cut off the tip. It's not as handy as an aftermarket latch button, but this will work for my needs.

You can use the key...
You can use the key...
I'm aware, but I don't always keep the key in or on the tractor.
A key to open the hood? I must be behind the times with my vintage 2011 1026R. With all this tom foolery, I’m inclined to think I’ll need to replace my 1026R with a bigger CUT and a diesel GT…….someday way far off, hopefully. :ROFLMAO:
