Welp. I lied. More booshes. Guy was supposed to come get em and he ghosted them so I got a call to come get 4 more laurels. Sooooo I stopped by on the way home and loaded them suckers up.

I had planned on just leaving them out for a couple days and spraying them cuz my back has been screaming but my OCD said to get after it and prove I still got the gonadular region to handle it. So I dug 4 more holes (by hand) and got them suckers in the ground so they can all mature at the same rate. The yellowing of the leaves the nursery guy (who looks like he lives in the shed out back but has a degree in horticulture) said is a nitrogen deficiency for being out of the ground for long enough so my paranoid but put them in the ground. Giterdun! Now my back is hating me but I need to shed some winter weight so suck it up Nancy!

These should grow into a nice natural hedge in front of my green belt and the birds will love the little berries they produce. Also add some color to the green. I’m wooped

Got to put the RT3049 to good use today. Along with someone on a small skid steer, I got my old weeds/grass tilled under, filled in my low spot, and scattered and tilled in the rest of those three piles of dirt across the yard.

Not perfect, but it'll have to do this time. I don't have anything to use as a drag, on-hand, or I'd put it on the back of my old 125 and drag it for more consistency... I just don't feel well enough this evening to get out there and hand rake it, and the hydroseeder is coming tomorrow.

I only wish:
1) I had a flat property and about half @Kbar's grading skills
2) It hadn't rained the other day. (The former low spot is... still a bit... let's call it "suspect"... underneath. Hopefully it holds!)
3) I had another day between here and hydroseeding... but schedules are tight.
We'll see how it goes. :D Super happy with the RT3049 though. That thing is a beast.
If I lived closer I’d be happy to stop by and polish that off for ya. Don’t sell yourself short. Get out there early tomorrow morning and put that loader bucket to it. You be surprised what you can accomplish with it. Just keep back dragging it at a semi flat angle in all different angles and don’t stop till your happy.

'Preciate that! This one's already in the books, though, I'm afraid. If I hadn't already taken half-days off and pushed out some pending "real job" things a couple days this week (to tomorrow morning) I might work at it some more, early morning. As it stands, I'll break for a quick consult with the guy when he shows up, but other than that, this will be seeded before I'm off work to even think about it again. It's all good though! I'll get more practice soon. I'm about to do a ~25'x100' food plot at the edge of my back yard, in a couple weeks, to bring our local whitetail herd in for a closer look.

The best thing about sod is you can always fill in the holes with the existing lawn still there. Keep us posted on the hydroseed.

Got 3 free loads of bank run from a new septic system going in at my cousin’s place a mile up road. Been wanting to expand parking on edge of hill I cleared. Now I need a load of recycled something to top it.

Yesterday in Holden, MA, we got 20" of very heavy snow. Spent several hours with the 2210 and rear mounted Land Pride snow blower clearing the driveway and shuffling cars throughout the day. Also went up to the neighbor's place and cleared his driveway. He's new in the neighborhood and doesn't have any snow removal equipment.

My property in Millbury got piled on yesterday as well. Somewhere around 14-16” but we fared better in Littleton with about 8-10” of heavy, wet snow.

Boy … For “bank run” … that’s pretty nice stuff … if I ordered a load of “bank run” gravel it would be nearly half rocks … 😳

We are in for warmer temperatures and rain over the next few days.
I haven't been on the 1025R in a few weeks, so I took the opportunity tonight to use the box plow with back drag to pull the pile of snow with stones back onto the laneway.
Save some spring clean up raking. The culvert gets the rest. :D

Our good bank run here has a good amount of small river gravel , gritty sand, and small amount of clay layer. Packs like concrete and drains well but needs a top coat or your shoes carry a nice stain when it’s wet.

Grading... swapped the BH for the BB and spent almost 3 hrs playing, err, working. No complaints on the first significant use of the EA "budget" 54" BB.

Only plowed twice this year and once was because I just wanted some seat time. So, I took the plow off today and attached the 3 pt. core aerator. I greased up the bearings on the spoon spindles and gave it a test run. The test wasn't over until I aerated the whole yard (1-1/4 acre). I passed. :ROFLMAO:

25.81 tons of crushed asphalt. Always nicer than millings as it’s uniform like quarry blend.
$2 a ton cheaper than recycled concrete. And no pieces of wire.
Just wire? The load of crushed concrete I got had chunks of brick, wire, glass, plastic, florescent light bulbs, and bi-folding door track (2' long). Oh and I think there was some crushed concrete in there as well. I tried not to let it bother me too much since it was for fill, but I am still picking up chunks of glass out of my driveway where they delivered it.

Yeah unfortunately you got demolition debris mixed in from where you get your recycled.
Did a school demo job last fall and we “attempted” to seperate brick and block from the C&D. Never happens.

It was certainly eye opening. I knew there might be some "debris" but didn't know what to expect. Now I do.
