Slow Day, I added the new decals for a "new", Nascar team.......84 is Jimmie Johnson's limited schedule ride in the team he now co-owns, called Legacy Motor Club. Legacy is comprised of a number of different teams which have been consolidated over the last several years as Petty Motorsports made a number of transitions and ultimately, Richard Petty sold his interest in the company.

I have met Jimmie and have a lot of respect for how he is as a competitor, person, husband, father, etc. He is a class act in a world where many aren't..........I also admire his personal drive, motivation and desire to continue to compete.

While I understand his desire to try Indy car racing, I am glad he is back in something more familiar and less dangerous, in the Nascar Cup series.......

He did very well in the Daytona 530 this year. Despite never having driven this new car which is quite different than the series platform when he retired, he had the fastest speed in the first test session at over 194 mph....

He ran the front 1/3rd of the cars much of the race and was in 5th place with under 3 laps to go when he was caught up in one of 4 separate crashes which required the race to be run an additional 12 laps, making it the Daytona 530, to determine the winner. It was the longest Daytona race in NASCAR history.

Mine is sitting in the garage watching me do some work and upgrades to her "new to her" 1986 GMC K2500 . She just turned 16 and got her license Monday (on the first try !) . She will use it for school and to help haul around her livestock and fowl to all of her different events for FFA . 🚜

I replaced my 13 yr old Carlisle Industrial R4 tires with Carlisle Multi-Trac C/S (Commercial Service) turf tires. The rears had some life left on them but the fronts were long overdo.

Yeah , it's in decent shape for 36 yrs. old . I am just making sure it's safe for her and doing a few things she wants done .
It's going to be tough to find a stopping point as my OCD wants to fix everything !!

Dug out a couple stumps for a friend so he can build a shop. One of them was a MONSTER! Had to drag it out. No way in hell it would even budge it with the loader or backhoe.

Looks like some good seat time made more satisfying by helping a friend !!

With the weather what it's been I took the snow blower off (only used it twice this year) and put the loader back on.Then I tried out the subsoiler I built recently. It worked great in our vegetable garden. Can't wait to try it in a couple other gardens I till that are very rocky and still very compacted. From there it was on to taking down 4 dead Ash trees and cutting them into firewood length and moving them towards the wood pile. The Mrs even got seat time moving the smaller stuff while I was cutting. One of the trees was uprooted and leaning into the top of a cherry next to it.The tractor pulled it right out once I got a rope up in it.That took about an hour of throwing my small weighted rope then trying to get it to drop down to pull up the big rope. There is got to be an easier way. Got a lot of seat time and sore muscles to go with it.

While there is a lot which has gone on and is going on within Nascar that I am not crazy about, its still something I enjoy watching the highlights of. I don't have the time or desire to sit and watch from start to end, thank goodness for DVR's....

Jimmy is running at the COTA this weekend and then he is also running in Chicago on the Downtown Street Course on July's 1st weekend. He wants to run in the Memorial Day All Star race but he has to qualify with the fan vote since he can't use his champions exemption or his prior wins of the All Star Race for that exemption either. Since he running a part time schedule and didn't run the last two years, he is falls into the gray area where the prior wins and champions exemptions don't apply.

The North Wilkesboro speedway All Star race is going to be a historic event, since they are returning there after last racing there in 1996. That means none of the Cup drivers raced there at the Cup level, which should make it interesting as well. That race is reportedly already sold out. The track is only 6/10th of a mile and the straight aways are up hill / down hill which adds to the unique features of the place.

I will say the L.A. race in the coliseum is the type of thing that might be attracting "younger fans", but its also alienting us older fans. If that was what racing is to become, I will just watch the IMSA racing and skip CUP all together...........Hippity Hoppity noise half times and tracks so absurdly small they can't get 30 cars on them without it looking like a demolition derby, not interested. When the top speed of the race cars is just above the highway speeds on public roads, that's not racing, that's a pointless demolition derby of cars which cost nearly half a million dollars each.......

Glad to hear you are a Jimmy fan as well.............Hope all is well with your K9 family members.......

Today I realized I like driving into a headwind with my 1025R, because I can pretend I’m going really fast.

Decided to try to reclaim some sunken gravel and smooth out the drive before our neighbor’s wedding next month. The land plane did a decent job, but the road was bone dry so hard to stir up. At last the first batch of weeds has been cut off. Before and after a few passes:

(Actually this one was after one pass down the center, but most of road looked more like dirt than gravel)

Cleaned up some brush from a yard today with the toothbar and bucket grapple. I’ll go back to this job this weekend with the stump grinder and hit all the cypress roots, then till and level the yard. This will be my first good-paying tractor job. Homeowner was super impressed that I could just mow down small bushes and trees and take them to the burn pile with this small tractor.

This will be my first good-paying tractor job.
I have two properties (my own) about a 1/4 mile apart that I drive the tractor between to handle the snow. We have had a LOT of snow (for us) lately. I have had people stop their cars and ask if I was working? I always say no. Last week I am tractoring over to the other place and a guy BEGS me to clear the snow burm and dig out a spot. I'll pay you whatever you want... I charged him $80 for about 6 minutes work. Now he is calling me asking can I move some rocks!

So that was my only paying job, lol. I do help dig out my next door neighbors for free.

The right side of the drive in your first picture sure has a LOT of material along it down the entire side. Must be a slight taper that way or slope for water run off? Funny thing is the driving tracks look like they favor the left side of the driveway in that direction.....

Looks like you reclaimed the majority of the material in the 2nd photo, which is ideal. Good job.....How long is that driveway?
