I just got a 2010 JD and the loader has the hydraulics hooked up to the panel levers on the left side. I want to switch to a control valve on the loader so it can be on the right side. Can I do this and what kind of valve do I need to get so I can do this and have a "float" option? I can't figure out why the previous owners did it this way. It is very unhandy.

I cannot help you with what type but I can caution you. We have one of these. If you unhook the loader a bypass hose needs to be installed or really bad things will happen to the pump as soon as you start it.

You'll need a 10 gpm 2 spool valve open center valve with 1 spool having the float option. Attaching a hyd valve to a JD 2010 requires a special adapter(see key 27 photo below) or cutting the supply line & valve spliced in series from pump to 3 pt hitch. Adapter part number is below

The part C14656 is no longer available. Contact your local John Deere dealer for other options.
