You are a bit north of us. We've just had the wind, rain & mud for the most part. Occasionally we've had some sun and on a couple occasions we've had some ice. Very little sleet or snow.
Not much snow here either. We’ve had most of that all within a 24 hour period a few times. As we say in Indiana, “If you don’t like our weather, wait a few hours”
Starting to get the itch to see some green grass again soon.

Worked on the van for a few hours tonight. Installed the left front fender. Had to tweak some of the brackets and the radiator core support ever so slightly. Used a couple of Bolt-on Hooks oblong ring slings, my ratcheting come along anchored to my 4066R backhoe stabilizer and gave it a tug. Perfect!

Also realigned the drivers door as well as the sliding side door. Took it easy. Enjoyed a cigar and some tunes. Making progress.

Noticed a couple of scratches in the drivers door glass so I'll swap windows between the original door and the replacement in another session.

Looking good Frank,,, I know you showed the van in the parking lot .. do you have a photo before you started setting in your garage..,,, just wondering..

So June maybe?

Especially if it looks like a 1 series.
If and when I find a few minutes and I think about it, may look in the one book , it may have just a real plain tractor.

Gene, I deleted them from my phone but Rob might have some. I'll check with him and post if he has them.

Glenn, I’m just bolting on some used replacement parts.

I admire both you and Gene who can actually make something out of raw materials!
Different skill sets for everybody. Making something seems easier to me by far than stretching, bending and pulling things back straight. Let me clarify straight as in auto body straight.

Looking good Frank. Did the replacement body parts (doors and fenders)you got, are they same color as the damaged ones or do you have to do some painting also?

Bob,

I purposely searched for the same body color and luckily it was used for all years of production on this model. 2004-2010. The fender, drivers and sliding rear door came from the same 2010 vehicle and the paint is a good match. That being said there was some damage done to the replacement parts during removal and some panel repair and paint work will be necessary. I may try to repair the original urethane front bumper cover which had a pretty good crease in it. If it's stretched than I'll have to replace it.

The headlight in our Mazda 3 burned out. As you would guess, there is plenty of room to get a hand in there :ROFLMAO:.

edit: spelling...

They wrap those Mazdas pretty tight. I did some work on my friend's '12 Mazda 3 a few months ago.. Replaced the evap purge valve and had to drop the rear suspension to get at it. Also replaced both O2 sensors and I can't believe the contortions it took to get at those. Nice cars though!

The side marker lights on my MZK require removing the front facia to change. Just crazy, From the same company that in 2003 made a mountaineer that 2 metal rails needed to be pulled up to pull the whole headlight assembly. No tools required.

It has been a great little car for us. I will say that the oil changes are a breeze. The filter is right next to the drain plug. So other than having to drive onto ramps, it's really easy to get to.

I had nothing planned for today. I did drive to town for a couple things and when I returned, I figured it was a good time to work on the winch bumper light wiring for my truck. I ordered some wire loom and clamps a while back in preparation for this. The bumper is sitting on a pair of metal sawhorses. The wing lights, and center light were installed a while back.

Here, I extended the wiring harness to route them to the backside of the truck's grill, where they'll terminate at a 4-wire connector. I labelled the wires as to which control each light.

After the bumper is installed on the truck, I'll attach the connector to a switch that will control the lights.
