What's the simplest way to bypass the RIO on a 3046R

I found this to be supper simple on my X7s where I simply bought package of scotch locks and spent maybe 10-15 min napping them on the wires under the seats and behind the dash to take out the RIO and seat shut offs.

I mowed with my new to me 3046R several hours last weekend, and killed the tractor a half dozen times because I kept for forgetting about its RIO feature still being active on it. I need to find that sucker and bypass it asap.
The 3046R does not have a button on dash I can simply scotch lock the wires on like I did on my X7s.

What is the easiest cleanest way to bypass this ridicules' safety feature on a 3046R with a MMM.
Is there some wires I can scotch lock somewhere on this machine?

It should be possible to disable RIO using the service menu. There are guides how to do it on this forum. Also just holding the PTO button should temporarily disable it but I am guessing it's already too late by that point you are used to backing up while mowing.

Yea I do the temporary process, of pull the knob let go deal.
I tend to be moving around in tight spots after engaging it which kicks out the temporary disable mode Soon as I touch that forward pedal.
Service menus, something I can access or is that requiring a dealer computer to do it?

This subject has come up many times on GTT.

The RIO thing is most annoying, but can be disabled programmatically. I did that with my 3039R.

Here is one thread that might help:

This method is also described in the maintenance manual, the relevant page of which someone posted on GTT at some point (but that I cannot find at the moment).

If memory serves, I also recall that someone reported that the exact option or code might have changed slightly in a more recent model year, but the concept is the same.

This should help you eliminate this big annoyance, as it did for me.

Thanks all.
This video here looks to be what I need to do.
Quite a dance you have to do, to get in there to turn it off.
But seems easy enough. Going to give it a try tonight.

It worked !!! Got it turned off via the programming method. Very cool 😎.

Now I am really curious what all those other editable functions do . 😝

Glad you were able to turn off the lawyer-inspired RIO thing.

Like you, I also became curious about some of the other programmable functions after turning off the RIO function, but when I looked through the list in the service manual, I didn’t find anything else that I wanted to change (that was a year or so ago, so maybe if I looked again I would find something else.

It’s nice that some things can be customized via programmable settings, but I’ve also learned from customizing some other things that this ability can be a mixed blessing, especially when settings get mysteriously reset at times.
