Wheel spacers

1016 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Zachary
i have a 1025r and live the hills which presents a problem when mowing. So much in fact it has threatened me too many times on rolling over. I cannot put duels on because it interferes with the mowing wheels, so am going to try wheel spacers. Am thinking on putting them on front and back. Does anyone have any experience with them? What is the max size I can use which would not interfere with the rollers on the 72 inch mowing deck. Also does anyone know where a can source these without paying stupid prices? Thanks

You have a 72" deck on a 1025R? I didn't think they offered anything over 60"...
Spacers won’t help on the front wheels. They only help on the back
Couple of really good threads on this subject that are accessible using the search function. In them, you'll find little evidence that spacers on the front make any difference and my stress the pivot, and that rear stability gains are impressive even with modest spacer widths. Lastly, you'll learn that 1.5 inch rear spacers is about as wide as you can go if you have a MMM.
