Hello,

I recently purchased a John Deere 2305 with out a FEL. I found a used 210 FEL from a John Deere 2210 at a local dealer for a good price. I was wondering can you or has anyone installed a 210 loader on a 2305? I know the FEL for this tractor is the 200CX, however I have not found any of them used for sale or does someone have a lead on a used 200CX loader.

Thank you

Welcome from Westminster...

The 210 was made for the 2210 tractor, and I didn't see any other mounts in JDParts for it to fit any other tractors. The 2110 and the 2305 where VERY close so it MAY fit...but may not either without modification.

Used loaders are VERY rare, and often they are ragged out when you do find them. People just don't sell loaders unless they are attached to a tractor.

The loader I found is in excellent condition and barely has the paint worn from the mounting brackets that stay on tractor. I wasn't sure if anyone has done this or knew of any mounting brackets made by Deere. I know the 2210 brackets won't line up to my 2305. I have the loader in my possession currently and already tried the brackets. The dealer seemed to think it would work as well as me so I purchased it, the good thing is the dealer is willing to take the whole thing back and reimburse my money. I was just hoping someone has done this. Again the loader is in great shape and worth what I paid for and actually a little more.

Well good luck is all I can offer, there is nothing in JDP to help so as I wrote it will be a custom job to make it fit.

If you decide to return it, please contact me as I have a neighbor with a 2210 that would be interested in it-he only has the snowblower and 54mm on his currently.

Well, my neighbor and I visited Jimbo today and he bought the 210 FEL for his 2210!

We had it installed within an hour of getting it home:

OK. Great!! So what was the original concern? Was there a problem with the 210 loader mounts bolting up to the frame? I thought the OP purchased a 2305? Did you have to drill the loader mounts or frame to get them attached? 210 should bolt right up to a 2210 shouldn't it? Was there a tie-bar between the L/R loader mounts? Gearheads want to know!!

I'm sure Jimbo appreciates your assistance!!

Frank

OK. I just reread the post. Your neighbor purchased the 210 loader from Jimbo for his 2210.

I gave some "blems" to him to attach, I think he installed them that evening.

Right. Jimbo thought it would be easy to adapt to his 2305, but that turned out NOT to be the case.
