I have a new john deere 3 point for a 748 and need to know if it will fit my 455?

As far as I know it won't. I know they won't work the other way around. I had found a like new one off a 445 and called my dealer parts guy and he said they won't work.

I been doing some looking and my kit comes w/a retro fit kit for the x700 but the original kit was for a x400 and x500.I measured across the back of both machines and they appear to be the same?

I think it will bolt on there but your going to have to mod. the frame for the threaded up stop. Thats where they are diff.

You might be better selling the X7XX hitch and buying on from Ruegg for 395.00 brand new that will bolt right on. You should be able to get that out of your X7XX hitch no problem.
