before just buying a new blade set up, I'm hunting around for a blade for my 1023 for this winter.. I had a guy reply to my add that he has a blade for a 2305 and he tells me it'll work on a 1023.. Can anyone confirm if thats true or not?.. I am starting from scratch, I don't have any of the parts or pieces for mounting any attachment to my machine.. The whole set up is required..Thanks!..

I am sure someone with more knowledge that I will come along soon. I don't have the blade but snowblower instead. I am assuming (and if not, someone please correct me) you would need similar attachments minus the pto arm and bracket holding the bearings the pto shaft runs through. Below is a link from Mutton with a compatibility chart if my assumptions are correct.

Quick hitch mounts to the tractor differently. The blade would mount to the 1 Series quick hitch. Why they didn't make them the same is beyond me... Probably has to do with loader and mower quick attach clearances.

ok.. thanks guys.. The god of tractors, attachments and toys like this rarely makes it as easy as it would have been if this dang thing had fit.. ha!.. I might see if the guy wants to just sell me the blade and keep hunting for the quick hitch etc..

another question.. I've seen a couple of video's of 1 series tractors with a green plow that appears to pop on and off of the loader arms.. What's the story with that thing?.. Where can you find them?. Any idea the cost?.. With the way my driveway is set up and with the rediculouse amt of snow I get.. I do like the idea of being able to lift the blade high to push the banks way back on each pass..

That quick hitch unit is close to what I saw.. The one I've seen on line looks a little bigger but there's no quick hitch or hydraulics.. It just attaches to the loader arms the same as the bucket does as far as I can see and its just a blade.. No left to right movement.. Just a straight blade.. I'll try to post up a pic..

blade

my dealer said it would $750 to use my 2305 blade. He gave me $750 trade in on the new setup ($1500) so for $750 I got all new.

I sold my 2305 and bought a new 1025r. The buyer of my 2305 didn't need the plow. I took the mounting brackets off the frame of the 2305. Holding them up to my 1025r, it appears that I will just have to get a notch cut in the brackets with a plasma cutter to clear a bolt on the 1025r, and then hopefully everything will work. I will have to take off my grill guard to use the plow, but that's not an issue. My hydraulic lines will be a bit too long, but a zip tie will take care of that. Once I have the brackets modified and put the plow on, I'll post pics. Keeping my fingers crossed! :greentractorride:
