I have an L120 and I am looking for a snow blower for it. I found that JD says an M044SBH will fit my JD. Will an M042SBX work on my L120? I am very new to the world of green and confused! Any help would be appreciated!

The M042SBX is designed for the older "LT" garden tractors. None of the brackets will fit your tractor and the drive pulley system is all completely different.

The M044SBH is the only one that is designed for your machine. It's the same blower that was used on the L1xx. LA1xx and D1xx series machines.

Not sure where you are at but there are usually a couple of them up for sale on Craigslist in my area on any given day and you can buy them new from the dealer or the big box hardware stores. btw, the actual JD part number for the M044SBH is BM23602.

Many thanks Jim. I have found new ones locally but those are out of my budget. My father in law sold me the L120 for $500 so Im having a hard time spending more on the blower then the mower :mullet:
I have been told to watch out for used ones that may have been used heavily by contractors and worn out. Any advice on what to look for to make sure a used one is g2g?

I don't really have much to offer as far as checking one out. But the contractor warning thing is, IMO, inaccurate. 99% of these things are sold to homeowners since they only fit the 1xx-series lawn tractors. That just isn't a tractor a contractor would run.
