Hey i have a jd 214 and these tractors weigh a ton plus this thing is off road tractor so if i get stuck its really hard to pull out so i bought a 2000 lb badland atv winch gonna mount it under the grill will there be enough juice to power the winch if the tractor will be running on full throttle?

I am thinking it will not work, the battery and alternator is just to small.

Gee Kenny, The battery on my 360 Kawi Prarie is actually smaller, and it works fine. Can't believe it wouldn't work...15amp charging and a 660# tractor? Hopefully, your only pulling for a minute or so.....

Yeaa wouldent be for long couple minutes max and if it gets weak il wait a couple minutes then try again
I just put one of those on my 2210 to raise/lower my adopted ATV snowblade until I can rig hydraulics. The power draw will pull your battery down over time, the alternator doesn't make enough juice to really drive one of these. I have a warm on my JD ATV (650 Buck) and even though it has a much bigger alternator it still dims the lights when you use the winch hard. If anything I would be looking to put the biggest battery/highest CCA's you can fit in there and if you really use it hard make sure you put it on the charger when you're done for the day.

Harbor Freight carries the badland winches....the 2000 lb model normally $99 has been on sale for $49....nothing fancy but for a basic winch - it'll do!

Cool "teeth". Can you post a picture of the front of the tractor?

Make sure your wires are secured and cannot chafe and short out.

Bought a Badland 5000lbs winch from Harbor Freight and mounted it on the front of my tractor. Works great. When working it hard it will shut off (has a circuit breaker) and I need to give it a few seconds to reset but I have only had that happen a couple of times.
I didn't take a pic but I have a control mounted to my dash for when I have no concerns of the cable letting go and smacking me as I sit in the seat, and an outlet in the front, near the winch, to plug the 12' lead into so I can hide behind something....... like my wife. :mocking:
