Woods LRS60 Landscape Rake

1950 Views 14 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  c_becker11
Are there any 1025r owners that have the Woods LRS60 Landscape Rake? I am having a hard time getting this thing on the QH just right. I know I don't have the bushing kit for the sides but that hasn't been my issue. The top hook is where I'm struggling. Just curious where other owners have their top hook set? Mine is currently at the lowest position and that is the closest to happy I've been with it. Also there is two hookup points on the Woods - a top and bottom hole - which one are you using? Thanks in advance!

Looks like you will get a better angle on the top hole
IF
There is enough room to get hook over bottom bolt that holds the uprights.

Loosen or ditch those bolts holding top Hook and go with pins.
You will find what is best in time.
Get your Bottom bushings.....There are several types avl. You should be able to find something that will work.

i have an older lr model rake and back blade. they often bind up when I raise the three point. They are the two most stubborn of my implements, and it takes some fiddling with the top link to get things positioned right. the KBOH extended hook helped.

i usually end up getting off the tractor and manually giving the implement a little alignment help before it is fully weighted against the quick hitch.

be sure that the rake is fully engaged before driving off. i have made the mistake of not getting it properly seated in the iMatch and had it slip out of position so that only one bottom pin is engaged. getting it unhooked after this happens can be a pain.

I've looked into Ken's Extended Hook - have you had any issues with your other implements lining up with that addition? Also which bolt holes are you utilizing on the top hook? Thanks!!

Heres a thought.

Similar situation with my Box Blade.

Lower hole.......I used 2 short bolts run from the "inside" outwards with low profile "heads"
This lets the top hook fit between the 2 "heads" for perfect alignment to the Upper Spot if that makes sense.

Got a pic somewhere on this site of said arrangement.

I use the 3rd and 5th hole down from the top. i have quite a few implements from different manufacturers, and that works for all of them. the KBOH hook made everything hook up easier. the pic was taken before i got it and you can see how tight the fit is between the QH and the rake uprights and pins-Almost no extra wiggle room. I replaced bolts with pins because the bolt heads were interfering. after i got the kboh hook, i went back to bolts.

Also look at getting Ken's iMatch Adjustable Hook Pins. Makes changing the position of the top hook a snap. I have 3 attachments that like one position, but my box blade prefers another, I can change the position in under a minute, no tools. Suggestion--If you get the Hook Pins, drill them out slightly and use Lynch pins instead of the included cotter pins.

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions! I have a top hook on order from Ken's so hopefully that helps!

Update: I added quick hitch bushings and Kens Bolt On Hooks modified top hook. I replaced the bolts on the Woods with pins and this seems to work the best. When hooking up you’ll need to pull that bottom pin out…then when raising the top hook just so it comes in contact with the top pin, then you can insert the bottom pin. Hope that makes sense. It’s still tedious but much easier than before! Thanks everyone!
