I mowed the other day, parked the mower, and now it will start but won't move. I have checked the free-wheel rod in the back of the mower, as well as the parking brake.
A few things I noticed:
I don't have a lot of mechanical knowledge, but I do all the basic maintenance and have replaced the starter before.
I just removed the deck and I can see the rod that connects the pedals to the transmission. I don't see anything broken looking, but I also don't know what I'm looking for.
For reference I am using the diagram for the linkage from the John Deere Parts catalog (Search "x320" > alphabetical index > L > "LINKAGE, FORWARD/REVERSE PEDALS").
Any help would be awesome and much appreciated!
Thanks
A few things I noticed:
- The forward and reverse pedals feel really loose, like I could push them to the floor with 1 finger.
- I can flip the parking brake switch up and down without having to depress the brake
