Found this on Craigslist . Owner is asking $1100 OBO . This looks like a pretty good deal . Am I off base ?

I can't seem to find any manuals , installation or operators , does anyone have any suggestions ?

A little more info : 42" hydraulic tiller , used about a dozen times , off an x500 series , not sure what year . I think it should work on my X580 ? :gizmo:

It is for the newer X5xx series tractors but from what I've seen the newest ones have a different kind of lift set up for the front attachments. Not sure if the rear is different.

I don't think it came off a X5xx let alone fit an X580. The front mounts tell me it's from a 345 type, the X5xx mounts are closer to the large pulley and are bolted to the top of the plate. It can be made to fit with some more money, mounts and a lift system. If you can post more pics we can better tell what it fits.

You were right . The manual says it fits 345,355 etc. I guess the po somehow made it fit his x520 . I did a little research on my own and see what you are talking about as far as the front mounts are concerned . I am a fabricator by trade so the mount repositioning shouldn't be an issue . I have sent an email to my dealer asking if there is a kit of mounting brackets and hardware to fit my tractor . We'll see what they say before I start adding all the parts I need to the shopping cart . :banghead:

I'll post up progress reports as I can . Thanks for the help .

Glad to help, the lift system for the X580 had a serial number change in 2016 so be aware of this as well. I recall a guy did just what you are about to do but I can't remember what site but if you google X5?? tiller it should pop up.

I have seen them converted to fit the new x5xx series at about $400 in parts.

I've got $500 worth of parts ordered . I ordered new belt , filter , etc. . Prolly why at $500 instead of around $400 , Ordered from Green Farm Parts . Tracking says 2 packages to arrive around Wed . :bigthumb:

Great,I guess I wasn't off by much.Any of the tillers from Deere are great. It was a toss up for me between the 30 and 42 when I got my 345,but that 30" tiller chews up the ground in a heart beat. It'll be one of the best time saver attachments you'll own.
