All of a sudden my x595 will stall when you release the brake. I jumped the seat safety switch and i replaced the brake safety switch under you left foot board. After replacing the brake switch it fired up and seemed to be good until I wad half way across my lawn and I now have the same issue again. Any ideas?

I have the shop manual I'll look and see what it could be.
I greatly appreciate it.
I just replaced both the brake safety switch and the reverse safety switch. I have also jumped the seat switch in order to rule it out. I have a know good pto switch and I tried that as well.
When I first replace the brake switch, everything seem to be good. I put the mower deck back underneath it the blades would engage and I went to mow. Halfway around the yard it quits again. Same problem. Released to break the engine quits. As soon as the brake light goes out it shuts down

Are the relays closing when you turn the key on. There are 3 black relays I think on the right side, one is the K3 start relay, one closes for the glow plug circuit. the other is the over temp relay which doesn't close unless there is an over temp. Try switching that one with the start relay to see if that is the problem. Also try cleaning the fuses on the circuit board,I've had them cause problems, they gray/white corrosion on the tabs.

I see the relays and I will try this to see if there is any difference. Thanks for the heads up.

Brake switch seems to be working or the machine would not crank with the brake pushed.. Right?

Glow plugs,, shouldn't matter if those are on or off once the engine is running.

Temp over ride relay is interesting but I am not sure the brake would allow the engine to run if the relay was not working.

Are you sure the seat switch is jumped correctly and has good contact? Just trying to think out loud here.

Sure sounds like an issue with the seat switch circuit.
It's also possible one of the connectors is pulled back out of the plugs on the safety switches, etc. This happens from vibration and the plugging and unplugging of stuff.

I would replace the seat switch and actually check the wires inside of the plugs to make sure the terminals are all of the way into the plug and making contact. Check the wiring carefully as it doesn't take much for the terminals in the plug to pull slightly back and cause a intermittent connection.

The seat switch is a common one as that wire really gets moved around with use and flipping the seat up, etc. Replace the seat switch AM131868 as its only $9.68 and they go bad. Sometimes, the bypassing doesn't connect as it should.

I believe I now have a complete wire diagram. I’m going to chase wire from the seat switch to the brake switch

What he is saying is that the relays are the same type, by switching one to the other it is just verifying if there is a problem with one.

Unfortunately the diagram I have is for a x585 and not a x595. Do you have a correct diagram?

Yes I have the shop tech manual. It's broken into different parts, charging, glow plug and so on. I'll have to get a few together so you can figure out which one would be the best.
