Ok bought a new to me x738 with the air seat th8nk8ng wow this will be great,,,, it is rough as helllll
ive set the seat in the window like it says but man is it stiff and I feel it sits higher too
what an I doing wrong

I'm guessing that you have tried adjusting the air up and down.

Beyond that check the tire pressures and bring them down into the 10 PSI range

Rears maybe even less than 10 on the rears

OM Tire Pressures - all tire sizes
Front 10-15 psi
Rear 6-10 psi

*152 kPa (22 psi) recommended with front weights or front attachments.
**97 kPa (14 psi) recommended when the rear is heavily loaded.

Agreed.

Mine came from the dealer with a solid 22 psi in the rear and 18 psi in the front. Rode like a rock.

As you inflate the air seat it raises higher and the seat is stiffer.
Forget the window...set it to where it feels the softest best ride.

All Deere equipment seems to be like this. First thing to do after delivery is to adjust the tire pressure.

I think it's for 2 reasons.

Less likely to rock and get damaged during shipping.
Less likely to 'flat spot' the tires while in shipping crate or sitting at dealer.

I think the automakers also ship with higher tire pressures than what is recommended when in service.

That is why car dealers have a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection), dealers should really check the fluid and adjust the pressures before delivery...seems many don't.
