How long do you suggest plugging in a X749 (1119cc diesel) when it is -10 to 0 degrees out? I plug in my NH for maybe 2 hours in a unheated building and it seems to work(freeze plug heater). The big equipment have the large heaters that pump the coolant as it heats and they work much better. Thanks for any opinions and help!

1-2 hours should be more than adequate.

Agreed. If you ever question whether or not it's warm enough after being plugged in, check the temp with your hand on the head. If it's warm, it's good to go. Hot means you've been ready for a while and you're spending extra dollars on wasted electricity. Cold, well, go have another cup of coffee.:morning2:

Thanks! I had to plow with my 33hp tractor and it was the first time I checked it with my hand. After 2.5 hours it was plenty warm so next time will be only 2hrs.

I was asking for my dad that has the x749 and plows with it. BTW...he loves plowing with it because it maneuvers around so good.
