Z920M - cut just seems to be blah

Well my 3 suggestions are 1. Check the rake of the deck. One gentleman posted he had good luck with 1/4” of rake. On my setup which I am running a full mulch kit is 1/8” seems to work good. And just so you know what rake is, it’s the middle blade with a tip forward measured at the front versus one of the outside blades with a tip straight back and measure to the floor. You want the front tilted slightly forward.
2. Throw your blades in the trash and buy a new set of high lifts and clean the bottom of your deck.
3. cut lower. At 4 1/2” you are not producing enough vacuum to pull the grass up and get a good cut. I normally cut at 2 1/4”-2 1/2” and it’s Bermuda, fescue, and a few assorted weeds. lol. Cutting at 3 1/2” is stretching it to get a nice cut and 4 1/2” sure won’t on my place.
I will add that the reason I HIGHLY suggest getting new blades, and high lifts is because the wing on the back of the blades that produces lift will wear down and not lift the grass to get a nice cut.
Mulcher, that is great advice.👍🏼
