New to tractors and the forum. Trying to remove and replace water pump. I have all bolts and hoses removed. Unable to remove fan and pump, do I have to use a puller of some kind to remove fan first? Any suggestions would be appreciated! I’m thinking about having the pump rebuilt at dealer. I’ve tried using pry bars to remove pump and it will not budge. I’m afraid of cracking casting.

Remove 4 bolts (19) and lock washers (20) retaining the fan. These are 5/16" x 1-1/8".

Pulley (12) is pressed onto the bearing (4), so it cannot be removed at this time.

Remove two bolts (10) and washer (11). These are 3/8" x 1-1/2".

Remove one bolt (13) and washer (11). This is 3/8" x 2".

Remove two bolts (14) and washer (11). These are 3/8" x 3-1/2".

You should then be able to remove the water pump. Gasket (21) may be stuck to the engine block but should be able to be pried off lightly.

Good idea having the dealer rebuild the pump. I had them do the one for my JD 2030 about 30 years ago.
