Ran into a weird issue this evening and I'm looking for some clarification. Can you raise and lower the mower deck with the backhoe attached? I thought that you could. Mine is mower deck is hydraulic. Last night I took my son for a ride on the tractor and he lowered the mower deck you know how kids are. I was on the tractor with him. When i tried to raise it would not move. I ended up having to take the backhoe off in order for the mower deck to raise. We the tractor was delivered and the sales rep demoed how to attach everything I was sure that the mower and backhoe were on and they could operate independently. Did I not install the backhoe on right when I put it back on as I had it off for most of the winter?

IMO I can't think of a reason why I would want a MMM on having the fel and BH or just one of those attachments on the tractor. Especially when you can take off or put on the mower in a matter of minutes.

Anyway, just wondering was the hyd line for the mower still connected when you had the mower on and the fel ?

The BH has nothing to do with the lifting of the mower , your fel will keep the MMM from lifting .

So I don't intend for the FEL or backhoe to be on when mowing. However we just finally moved into our new place and garage storage is an issue. The 1025r with all the attachments on the tractor takes up less space. I had put the backhoe back on the tractor this past weekend. I have not had the FEL off the machine since delivering the tractor. I have taken the mower deck off a few times to show my dad and father in law how easy it was to attach with no issues while the FEL and backhoe were one. I took the backhoe off for the winter and installed the iMatch hitch and ballast box for plowing snow. This weekend I decided to take off the iMatch hitch and install the backhoe. I'm pretty sure that the hyd line was still attached as I have never disconnected it.

I thought that it would and it had when the dealer installed it. I wonder if I did not install the backhoe right? Although is there any chance that you can mess that up?

Ok so I do not have the diverter as the mower deck is raised and lowered by a separate leveler not the front loader scv. It's on the right side of the tractor to the left of loader scv. It's the same lever that raises and lowers the 3 point hitch.

So this is the lever I use to raise and lower the mmm and 3 point hitch. This is the what my son pushed forwarded which lowered the deck. When I pulled back it would not raise. I still will take photos tonight.

As an aside, if the mower deck was locked, it would not have dropped when the lever was moved forward. You should always have it locked unless you are mowing - even more important to lock it when the deck is not attached.

... just noticed that Milharri mentioned the same thing. :good2:

The standard lift is the "Mechanical Lift" which is what you have. It could be that the linkage that connects the deck to the rockshaft has come loose, or maybe somehow the backhoe installation was done incorrectly and there is some interference - though I can not picture how that would happen.

So I reinstalled the backhoe today and everything seems to be working ok. Crazy I'm not sure what went wrong but today I'm able to lower and raise the deck with no issues with the backhoe attached. I checked the machine over good everything seems to be working fine.

I think that dealers need to better educate their customers on the different types of mower lifts available and which ones were purchased.

56fordguy, just an FYI, the diverter on the 1025 is before the mid SCV. Meaning that once the button is depressed the flow is diverted to the mower cylinder and is no longer allowed to enter the mid SCV. Therefore there is no need to move the joystick and movement of the joystick will result in nothing since there is no fluid reaching it.

I'm think that if the back/power beyond line was not connected/seated correctly, the bypass would have opened and allowed the rock shaft/mower to lower and not raise. I don't recall whether the loader was tried or not....:dunno:....

I'm with some of the others ,, dealer needs to tell and show the customers how and what causes the mower to lift...
