I’m not a fan of “x” straps method. If one comes loose it doesn’t take much until the others are
loose too. Use four straps, one on each corner pulling outwards and downwards. Or something like Stan posted. Check the operators manual, it may have specific information about trailering and tie downs.

 

I drive my front wheels to the front bar on my trailer, goose it so it's good and tight and put a strap from the back corners to the front bar.

 

On the rear of mine I have these holes ... That's what I use, then over the front wheel pivots ...

 

The 530r has rear locations behind the wheel

 

Thanks for the advice. I ended up using axle straps on the front frame between the platform and the front wheel then X the straps to the deck. I used the advice of Jester_2320 and found the rear tie down points on the mower and ran the straps straight back to the deck tie downs.

The mower had no chance to move after that. If I start moving it around on a trailer very much I will probably get a different trailer and use the method that coaltrain suggested.

My first zero turn and I have figured out that this may take a bit to get used to using it. My yard looks like it was mowed by a drunk.
