I wonder what the green surcharge is 😂
11 bucks per can!! 🤑 I'll gladly keep my belt driven, steel impeller one. While I haven't seen one in person yet, I do like the plastic lid (I think), and window in side of hopper. I could put a window in mine myself. Looked on JD parts, lid alone is pushing 400.00. They even copied our idea for road and work lights

Hope someone will post a price quote including boot, fill sensor(FS2), and lights. I know what I paid for mine and what they were going to charge others.

Not sold on the switch from a belt to TWO gearboxes powering a plastic impeller.
I've not even had to adjust my belt in two years, and at times I've had to cut grass as high as hay. Even cut hay.

Over all, overwhelmingly impressed with my TKV20 with my mods, and new style boot. On a 72D.

Allen.

I emailed them and asked if they had a unit that would fit my 4720 with a 72” 7 iron deck. The answer was it would but they didn’t offer a deck boot that would work. They suggested I could find one online. The only boot I could find was a metal one that uses an 8” hose. I was hoping terra king would supply one. I would think everything except the boot would almost be a one size fits all.
I also have a 4720 with a 72D for it, and can tell you aTKV20 might not clear the rear tires. While I haven't put it on it I've looked at it, and even with the 3PT swung all the way right, there are going to be hose/tire issues. Remember my R4's in narrow were 72 wide, now with 2" spacers it's at 76", which is why I use 78" buckets, and larger implements.

A 72D fills the TKV20 real quick. Now the new Frontier MC2120 fan clearly sticks out farther, and the angle on the blower is changed, and plastic.
As for the boot for the older 72D for the 4 series, and the even older 72 for say a 955. Get the boot offered by TerraKing and mod it. There is nothing better out there for a boot for a 72 inch deck. TRUST ME, I've been trying and modifying 72" boots for about 20 yrs, basically come up with the same design as TerraKing just steel, and poly lined.

JD once offered a plastic, and steel boot for a 72, and stopped for the same reasons I starting my mods, The 72 throws so much grass at the boot anything Deere sold couldn't handle it. But that was with a 7" hose, and smaller under powered blower.

I still have a high dump MCS and 2 steel boots for 72' decks. They are trac vacs. Not cheep. I paid 268.00 10 yrs ago. I even have a 60" boot from TK.

I can't even guess what Deere will charge for that MC2021 with the FS2, all lights, wheel kit, and boot. With the lights, quick electric disconnect, JD stickers, wheel kit, 2 boots, 72D, and 60D, I'm all in around 4G's minus my time. Huge amount to be able to bag, but when you need it you need it, and there is NOTHING that works better. It's only missing the ability to high dump. High dump would add 2-3g's easy and there is nothing out there in a US market anyway. Even the TKV20 is too small for the 72D's, which is 1 reason i've kept my origional high dump MCS. I've been designing for the last 12 yrs to make a pto driven high dump MCS for my 4720 and 72D.

My suggestion to you is now that the Frontier MC2021 is out is that is the way to go, and get the boot for the 72D. Mod the deck to accept the boot. Only boot that truley works on the 72D, others SAY they will. Not like the TerraKing. They all WILL plug, the terraking, seldem if ever will, UNLESS you do like I do and TRY to make it plug, part of my deal with TerraKing. I wish they came out years ago. I don't want to admit how much time i've spent working on boot, hose, deck, and blower mods over the last 20 yrs.

I spoke with Agri-fab Wednesday (took 3 days to get through) for my 2017 1025R with a 54" deck it was about $5500. and out of stock, the deer one was IN stock and was $6250.. The TVK20 was hoping to go into production next week. if they had parts to build's the Not impressed with Agri-fabs customer service. I'll be going with the Deere
Glad you did your homework and are getting what you want. Sad to hear what happened to Terra King/Superior Tech after they sold out to Agri Fab.

That price is just nuts. I paid 3800 with casters, fill sensor (standard then), redesigned boot for a 72D and 60D, picked up at my JD dealer.

IF I had to pay today's prices I think I would have stuck with my hydraulic dump MCS that I still have.

The frontier does look like an excellent unit just not sure about the two gear boxes replacing the belt and your plastic impeller replacing my steel one. A definite plus I think is your plastic lid over my fabric one I even looked into the parts to put that lid on mine and it was way too expensive I can replace three or four fabric lids for the cost to retrofit to the plastic.

It is nice that Deere does offer a light kit for it because all anyone will see is the back of that bagger it's that big. A couple of us have put complete lights on the back turn signal, brake, markers, work lights, they are really needed but don't like Deere's light kit, as they put them on the sides widening it even further
Please post a lot of good pics I haven't even been able to find one of these to look at and best of luck with yours you will love it if it works anything like the TKV20.

I have the original Terra King TKV20 with the PTO and belt drive, that has the steel impeller, but fabric lid and love it. I to have acorns to pick up before the dogs eat them! If I were you I would contact them, Superior Tech/Terra King, and see if they are still selling the original. Last I knew they still were. After all there is still a large market besides JD for these.

Many of us on here have the TKV20 and are more than happy with them. Don't really see the need to over build the drive system, and then swap out a steel impeller for a plastic one.

Some good things, I think at least, is the plastic lid, an index-able chute connection at the fan housing, and light kit. Quite a few of us put lights on ours. I personally put brake, marker, turn, and even work lights underneath to see where I am dropping the clippings at. Even ran all the wiring for lights and actuator into an RV 7-prong connector for one plug-N-play connection.

It is quite crazy what JD is charging for the specked out Frontier TKV20. Problem is there really isn't anything else out there even close to the quality, reliability, and power of the TKV20/MC2120. Almost forgot Terra King was bought by Agri-Fab.

Looks like you can still buy the original from them, just sold out right now. I'd still give them a call, if nothing else to see what the TKV20 costs vs the Frontier. Here is the link. Check them out, they really do make a lot of good products.

For a 1025 as many as possible on the front 8-10, even if you have to a a weight bar extension. 2025 a little bit less.

I run 5-6 on my Gen2 2032R. Make sure to tell them what size JD deck you have so they send the right deck boot, not the universal.
