Hello everyone, I am really confused on the types of couplers used. I just had a 3rd valve installed at the dealer and the couplers are like huge compared to the couplers at the loader. I was wondering if someone could explain maybe why they used larger ones for the third valve, and are these what everyone refers to as Pioneer couplers? Attached are two pics of couplers. one other question, I've added about twenty feet of hose to reach the front for the grapple, does the air in lines need to be bleed off after adding hydraulic fluid? I believe it somehow does it itself,

They are 1/2" body size ISO 5675 "AG" style fittings, your loader uses the same but in 1/4" body size. We sell both on the website if you need them. These are pretty much standard for all compact tractor remotes nowadays.

You do not need to bleed the lines, just operate the grapple a few times then recheck the fluid levels.

so the fittings are the same design is what your saying, but why two different sizes? guess i just need to make all the implements the 1/2" body when i have the hoses made like hydraulic Top link ect . so do most implements come with 1/2" body size fittings?

Most rear implements do. I've bought two hydraulic rear blades, one John Deere and the other Land Pride and both came with 1/2-inch couplers.

As Brian mentioned, the 1/2" couplers on the rear somehow became a standard with AG equipment whereas loader couplers often vary by manufacturer.

It still blows my mind that a 1/2-inch coupler has no measurable dimension that is 1/2-inch. Likewise for the 1/4-inch couplers.

:banghead: after the hydraulic line fitting going to the third valve blew off for the second time, i took it back to dealer and said here you fix it. It was a bad fitting. also if i have a 1/2" coupler coming from the back valve at the loader that my grapple connects into, I'm taking it i can safely put a smaller 1/4-3/8 coupler (same as loader ) on it? Reason i'm asking is it's crowded at the loader and the 1/2" are excessively huge i think.

Yes, you can safely use 1/4" or 3/8" couplers at the loader for the grapple connection.
