These incentives just got better. Now they are offering $500 cash back along with the 0%. They still have $500 off two or more attachments.

I ordered mine last week but it won't be delivered till next week. Hope they don't give me a hard time about getting the new deal. I don't expect they would, I would just cancel my order and go to another dealer.

Dang, a month too late. I could've saved another $500 if I'd have waited. Oh well, sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose some.

I bought my 1026R on the 27th, and it has not been delivered yet, and the papers not signed, so I called the sales guy and asked. He said to me, the deal didn't really change, it's the same, JD just likes to reword it every time they renew it so it sounds different. He said "we gave you the discount in the the tractor and the FEL and MMM already." So he is holding fast on the deal as it stands, delivery is this Wednesday. I like this dealer, he is close enough to me and I fell like I will have a good relationship with them going forward. I'm trying to decide what to do here......believe him and take the deal as agreed on, or back out and start shopping again?
So he gave me:
- a discount of $1590 off the 1026R ($11,600)
- a discount of $322 off the H120 (w/53" bucket) ($2,999)
- a discount of $198 off the 60D w/autoconnect ($2,400)

$16,999 plus tax

Do they usually discount attachments? A quote I got from another guy didn't.....

Seems like you got a much better price.....perhaps I need to relook at this.

Follow-up:
hey FavFour and BigGus, would you guys mind sharing what you were quoted? I understand if not. IM if you prefer.

Thanks in advance guys!

$16,850 for 1026r tractor, H120 loader, 60" AutoConnect deck.

It looks like your quote is in the ballpark with others who have bought recently.

I ordered mine on the 25th, delivery should be the end of this week. I told them I want to go to the dealership and test everything out, auto connect mainly, before it was delivered. The things I read I was worried about having it delivered and then have an issue with something.

1026r - $11,245.94
60D w/autoconnect– $2,375.30
H120 (w/49” bucket) - $2,989.94

Total $16,611.18

Looks like it is almost a wash. I might have a better price on the tractor but it looks like you have a better price on the FEL with the bigger bucket. Also I am sure area makes a difference, this is the only JD dealer around for me.

I’m still waiting back to hear from my salesman, at first he said he hasn’t heard anything. I know what you mean, I like my dealer also and feel like I am getting a fair deal as is. Worse case is I hear you will get a survey from John Deere, would be a good opportunity to voice your concern. Sounds like it is a manufacture rebate anyway.

I am very confident that the incentive has changed; I have been following this since October.

Mastertracker - I would love to know how you got your quote. Is that on the 1023 or 1026?

#13 ·
Thanks FavFour, I figured there might be some differences, a few dollars here, a few there. If I see my quote is off by $1000 then I have to question it, but anything under $500 and it's a wash as you say. Would love to see a few more quotes.

1026r, 49" h120 loader, 60" auto connect deck w/ r4 tires. $15,300 plus tax. Had alot higher quotes (from $500. to $3000) from some other dealers with a 54" non auto-connect deck. Went to about 6 different dealers.

Wow, that is a good price, thanks Brian.

The dealer in Lafayette, IN was the highest at just over $18,000. I told him I could get the same setup for 15,800 at another dealer, he then got upset and said their was no way. Then I found Lebanon, IN dealer and got it for 15,300. and they are very friendly and helpful. Highly recomend that dealership, but you are a little far away. The othe dealers were just under $17,000.

Right now I am not seeing a good reason to cancel the sale, so tomorrow afternoon it will be delivered, and then I can officially update my signature! I like this sales guy, which doesn't mean I will like service, but until I've had some experience......

Thanks everyone, I think Brian made out best!

Cool to hear that you will be taking possession soon. Sometimes sticking with a dealer that you like is worth something as well.

They've had nice incentives for a while. I bought my 3320 in July and they had the 0% interest for 60 months and 2.9% for 72 months, plus if you buy 2 attachments you get $500 off. I bought a loader and my pallet forks were $500 off. I got them for next to nothing. I looked at used tractors, but it's hard to pass up the 0% interest. Makes buying a new tractor affordable.

They know what they're doing at JD Financial! I bought my 4310 back in '05 @0% and again with the 1026r last year. Frankly both times it was so easy a process that i hardly considered other options.

#21 ·
Following this "Price check on aisle 9, please!" with interest. Would I be correct to ass-ume that the further from the factory the higher price I'll pay locally due to increased shipping costs to the dealer?

#22 ·
Well, it's a done deal. 1026R is out in the shed. Delivered late this afternoon, Simplicity Legacy XL gone.....all the attachments stored, for now.....maybe snow tomorrow night!

#25 ·
LOL you are correct, they make it TOO easy....I keep thinking I settled for too small, but as this is my first JD, perhaps it was good to start here. I think I really wanted the new 2R, but I don't have the patience to wait until it comes out later this year. So maybe, if this 1026 holds it's value, I'll trade up to the 2R in a year or 2, when the financing and rebates make it a good time!

This is a fun forum, and I'll take some pics when it's light out!

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about.:lol::lol: The R is one heck of a good little tractor though. It brought me and my neighbors many a smile.:thumbup1gif:

Congrats!! Mine was supposed to be delivered to the dealer today but I haven't heard anything. I was going to call but didn't want to sound like a high school girl waiting on a date :) Hopefully I will have it by this weekend.

You mentioned you have it in a shed. What type of floor do you have? if it is wood did you do anything to reinforce it? I bought 2 x 8 and I'm going to park it on them to spread the weight. Hopefully won't be long till I put up a pole barn

I am starting to get a little anxious though so I ordered some hooks and shackles from Kenny.

This shed is one of those standard pre-built sheds they deliver on a flatbed. it's a 10x20 if I remember right. I've had it almost 20 years, and I've always stored the Simplicity, and the snowblower, and the TracVac and garden tools, and I don't even know how much other crap and never worried about the floor strength. The floor is pressure treated plywood, unfinished in any way, and the supports are pressure treated 4x4's cross ways. I don't remember how far apart, but I think it's every 24"? I've never sensed any flex in the floor at all. The 4x4 sit atop poured concrete footers surrounded by crushed stone, but the 4x4's are above the stone, not resting on it.

It took my dealer a good week to do all the assembly and testing etc. on the 1026R before it was ready to deliver.

Ransx77 - I wouldn't feel too bad about the $500 bonus :) I am supposed to go look at my tractor over today at the dealer, looked at the incentives again and they changed it. The bonus applies to the 1023E not the 1026r.

I think it is still worth the upgrade to the 1026r

Thanks Fav, that's what I've been hearing from another dealer I touched base with as well. I'm excited, getting ready to push some snow with it today!!
