I have discovered a gear oil leak on my JD 650's hub assembly. Am I correct in thinking it is part # 16 which has gone bad? It's the only seal I can see on the parts diagram that might cause such a leak. There is also an O-ring that is part # 14. I'm trying to have the parts on hand being that I have to order them online before I tear it apart is why I am asking here. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Yes # 16 is the seal causing your leak. #15 is a liner that fits inside the oil seal and the last I checked are no longer available from JD.
If the liner has nasty groove, PM me. You really don't have to get into #14 but there is an o-ring seal on #22 you might want to get.
My 2 cents.
