The 2200i is 1150 ish

Same price anywhere you go...JD ,Honda ,Coastal Farm........There are no sales on them.
I think I read that was a Honda thing.

Looking around last nite...I found some of the small (1000 ish) Yellow JD's from several years ago on some auction site that had Robyn engines......Some swear by those....I'd never heard of them till researching portable compactors.

A Honda generator with JD tax added! 🤑🤑
I'm going to go on record as saying these are NOT rebadged Honda generators. Of the three models pictured in the ad, the only one that looks similar to a Honda model is the 7300W unit. But if you look closely, while the chassis shape resembles a EU7000is, when you zoom in you can clearly see that the chassis is different and the front panel is completely different (see below). And of course there is no mention of fuel injection which Honda now has on two of their generators (EU7000is and EU3200i). I thought at first maybe they were rebadged PowerHorse units but those too are different.

Obviously these generators are OEMed from someone else but I don't think it is Honda. I do wonder though if JD dealers will continue to sell Honda generators as they have been doing for quite some time.

Generac ???
I don't see any Generac offerings that resembles the 7300W unit. Can't say about the smaller units, there are dozens of brands of those styles but there aren't that many that copy the EU7000 design.

Find the predator pic and compare.........They look like a Honda from 50'

Till you take off the side panels........Predator is no fun to work on.

I don't see any Predators that look even remotely like the 7300W JD unit. Those rear tires and front triangular feet are very distinctive. Same with the hinges on the fold-down handle, very distinctive.

I suppose it is possible they are using an OEM who currently does not have a similar model that they are marketing themselves in the U.S.

It can't be worse than the Hondas. There is a stiff maintenance access price to pay for all those sound deadening panels. I had to make a special tool just to change the spark plug on my EU6500is. And cleaning the fuel tank sediment bowl, I won't even get into that fiasco. :)

Its like they want you too give up and buy a new one.

I have an old old 650 honda genny.......Getting to the carb to clean it is a half day project.

Did run great till it ran out of gas.....always started.....The only one of 5 that I could count on.

Need the whole mess of them gone to a new home.......the 2200i is the new go to.

And its by no means perfect.......they will start with the Co2 moniter unplugged but that video did not show if it will put out power with it unplugged......I guess this moniter has an expiration date of just when you need it to work......time will tell and maybe theres a delete kit coming. It has like 6 wires going to it so it must have its own brain of sorts.....
Only a matter of time till they are banned like Cali.

It's par for the course. Gonna need a green genny to charge the EV tractors. JD is thinking ahead. Likely will have a discount on the genny when purchased with a EV tractor. 🤣

In all seriousness, it's a good move by JD. Much like their hand tools, they are a "I've got a JD account, it's just easier to purchase with that" like people will by from granger or MSC or similar even though a similar product is available at a "non net30 terms" place.

If price is similar to Honda with a similar reliability and they're supported by the dealers, they'll sell. We all talk about the dealers/service and parts availability being an important part of large purchases, this isn't much different.

It's not a move at all. JD has been selling branded generators for many years. This ad was just for some new inverter models, which I don't think they've offered in the past. The only one suitable for charging an EV tractor would be the 7300W model.

We have the Honda inverter 6500 we bought in 2012, very nice generator, I’ll have to look at the John Deere at our local dealer when they get them in. From the picture the big one sure looks like a Honda though.

Ah who cares, I bet even actual Honda is made in China now. JD will stand behind it so what's to worry about?

The flyer says "CO detection" - sigh yet another feature to protect idiots from themselves.... which us normal people not only have to pay for but also figure out how to bypass when the $$ sensor takes a dump.
if it was not for China products the USA would be back to the cave man days. we gave everything up for lower cost & higher profit

Looks like a Champion rebadge to me…
