Are you sure your using the correct o-ring? Teflon tape is really not recommended for hydraulic use.

I purchased a metric O-ring kit and used the one that looked close

I would rater replace the whole thing if I knew what it was. Is there a parts list anywhere? I should be able to get this from any hydraulic shop I assume?

Sometimes, "close" is good enough... sometimes it isn't... If your "close" o-rings are leaking, then this time "close" might not be close enough....

I bet you'll spend more time, $$, and fuel tracking down "close enough" o-rings than you would if you call your nearest J-D dealer, give them the part number... They might even have it in stock... Buy once, buy right...
