I have only had my Woodmaxx MX-9900 for about a month now and have about 20 hours on it. Freakin love this machine it has been quickly going through the dead fall all over my woods.

Well last Sunday while out there working my wife picks up a stainless steel pin next to the chipper asking where does this go. My heart sank thinking it was a critical part at first and quickly shut the machine down. After reviewing everything it was just the pin that you use to keep the flywheel from turning while doing maintenance. The retaining clip had somehow popped off and the pin slide out. After a good bit of time looking for the clip with no luck. I had repositioned the chipper just before this and used the front loader to spread a great deal of chips so odds of finding that clip were slim.

Emailed Woodmaxx with only asking the size and style name so I could order a replacement. Nope they just shipped me a package of about 6 spares.

I know it is a little thing, but it is the little things that make customers very happy and gets them to recommend your product and buy more from you.

The chipper is freakin BEAST, and eats everything i put in it.

I had the exact same thing happen. We took it out to test it and ran it for about an hour. As we were loading up, I see this 12" shaft on the ground. I could not exactly tell where it belonged from the manual, but I emailed them the picture & they replied back quickly. They are sending me more pins too.

Seems like that may be a bit of a design flaw & may need something a bit different to lock the pin closed.

I, too, was very impressed by how WoodMaxx stood behind their product when I had initial problems with my new MX-9900 as I reported in the post below and several earlier posts in that same thread:

Has been working perfectly ever since.
