Welcome to GTT!

What have you checked? Are you getting voltage to the solenoid when the switch is on? Is the tractor under warranty still?

If not under warranty and/or your going to try to fix this yourself, then the next step before buying any more parts is to get the technical manual and follow the troubleshooting procedures in it, and then you can also view the electrical schematics.

Change reverse switch

I have a John Deere 2025R. It only had 25 hrs. On it and PTO quit. Pull switch and nothing turn off tractor restart pull switch and would work. Sometimes for 5 minutes sometime 5 seconds. It wasn't the PTO switch but the REVERSE switch under the tractor. Easy fix but since it was under warranty I had JD do it. Apparently there was a bad bunch of reverse switches on several JD tractors. My dealer told me that they changed about 10-20 of these switches a month. It's an easy fix but very frustrating on a $30K machine. The reverse switch is on the right side by your forward and reverse pedals. If you want to see if that's the problem make a wire and connect the red wire and the white wire with blue stripe. And see it PTO works if it does then that's the problem. If you don't want to chance it by jumping wires then I would just get a switch there around $25 on eBay. Please keep us updated on your post

Hey guys. Been awhile since I been on. Been sick with cancer surgery and other health problems. We still having problems with tractor. Never took it to the shop. Out of warranty. I replaced the pto solenoid and switch and as well as seat switch. Still no pto operation. The dash lights up. Is the something I over looking like a fuse or relay or something. Thanks.

James, sorry to hear of the issues with you and the tractor!

If you just replaced the coil on the solenoid, it's very possible the actual valve is "stuck" from lack of use.

You would have to remove it, that I cant help with. Once you get it out, you have to determine the "moving" parts and make sure its free.
