Deck adjustment problem.

I was out mowing the neighbors rough lot with my 60 in deck and afterwards I noticed that I could not rotate the height adjustment knob all the way around. Thanks to following everyone on this message board I immediately assumed my deck needed adjusted. I removed the deck and left rear tire to adjust my lift strap in order to achieve my quarter inch gap. My problem is I could not get the gap without completely removing the last of the 3 bolts on the lift strap which allowed me to move the lift strap ahead enough in order to get the 1/4 in gap. My question is did I bend something or am I doing something wrong here. Thanks.
Sorry pic is sideways.

You don't need a 1/4" gap. Go for 1/8" or even just slightly less. All you need is to have some clearance for the cam to rotate from the linkage when you have the 3 point hitch raised all the way. :good2:

Is your 3 point rockshaft reaching full height?

Wow. Ibthinkbthay may be the problem. Just had some warranty work done and they replaced that rubber washer which everyone has problems with. The 3 point lever seems real tight compared to when I took it in. The 3 point lever is all the way up. Any ideas on how to get my 3 point a little higher.

I don't have access to the actual procedure in the technical manual at the moment, but there is a linkage to adjust. Perhaps someone else can jump in and explain the procedure in depth. :good2:

If you're referring to the washer on the hitch raise/lower level, they probably didn't get the lever adjusted correctly. There are 2 bolts that hold the lever on and one of them is in a slotted hole. Remove the RR wheel for access, loosen the bolts, move the lever so the the bolt is at the front of the slot and tighten it back up. Played the same game on mine when I replaced the washer on mine.
