Has anyone seen the video from good works tractors? I just watched it and there is a new tractor on the market. Didnt say alot about it
Hi AllDon't get overly excited about that 3rd function. It's really a diverter. Not saying that's bad, just pointing it out.
I see this tractor as nothing more than another rebrand attempt. RK seems to have the best effort for this so far. They also have tractor sales and part & service at their stores. So far it seems all Summit has is a demo unit and a web site. I wish them well but don't see them being able to make a significant dent in the SCUT/small CUT market anytime soon.
#rd function is an option for some JD models. Before the pandemic stupidity some dealers, like mine were ordering that option for their floorplan. Mine was on the lot with it factory installed. They had to order & install the power beyond that isn't so popular.I agree with mr b except 3rd function and rear remotes is becoming more standard on some tractors
Nice? The difference is what is nice for you isn't for others. Wanna pay for what they think is nice.I think a small panel with a half dozen pre-wired switches would be nice so when we do start installing our own options
Well, actually, most of the pontoons have the same dash as others in that trim level which typically means multiple redundant "Aux" switches pre-wired & ready for use.Nice? The difference is what is nice for you isn't for others. Wanna pay for what they think is nice.
You pay the upcharge. Your choice, for yours or for everyone's.
You should know how this works Mr. Boat salesman.
Pre-wire all your boats and don't raise the price.
Again, Summit is owned by the same guy that created the RK lineup for Rural King.Don't get overly excited about that 3rd function. It's really a diverter. Not saying that's bad, just pointing it out.

I had a 50 HP Mahindra with cab. Lots of electrical problems. Ignition switch failed early on., It was basically pot metal and poorly made. The cab was not set right on the chassis and shorted out everything. Parking brake failed on a hill. The pawl did not have enough grip on the brake. Had to weld an extension on to make it work securely. Traded it on a JD 2038R. Dealer really wanted to low ball the trade in.Seen a few horror stories on Mahindra.
Fellow I bought a few implements from..had one ..Big time electrical problems.
pretty much zero support in Oregon.....theres a fistfull of dealers at best.
Green or Orange here...rest is a gamble.
Theres blue......jury is still out if Ford is LS or LS is ford......No sale there
Theres a reason everyone compares themselves to JOHN DEERE they are the best on the market the easiest to work on the easiest to get parts for and they hold their value.JOHN DEERE, WHY DO YOU THINK YOU SEEM THEM ON THE FOOTBALL FIELDS?????? THEY ARE THE BEST.Seen a few horror stories on Mahindra.

Well... at least he knows what he's up against.Again, Summit is owned by the same guy that created the RK lineup for Rural King.
I don't have a problem with rebranded tractors per se. It's the lack of dealer service and support that concerns me. If I'm spending that kind of money I want to be sure someone is there for me in the future. Service after the sale is more important than the sale itself IMHO.I don't mean to stray too far from the topic, but I've always wondered why some folks don't like re-branded tractors? We've had 11 tractor total since the Mountain blew, and only two of them are still going strong. One is a little 970, and the other is a 1070. Both are re-branded tractors.
I’d double check what they did to ‘fix’ your actuator. Mine has stopped working a third time with never even using the MMM. First covered under two year warranty. Same code after two years dealer charged $200 to calibrate the actuator. I got upset and cancelled the regular $500 maintenance scheduled. They dropped the charge. Now less than 500 hours same code.Thats been my experience- at the end of last (very late fall) season, i brought my tractor in for dealer service…they said 1 week but nearly 4 weeks later it was ready…all they did was changed the oil, filters, replaced mower deck blades. I put less than 9 hours on it mainly mowing 1x and moving some snow and the actuator stopped working…first an actuator shouldn’t go on a “premium “ tractor with less than 250 hrs on it….so the dealer picks it up to perform the repair…and a couple ofmthousand dollars later…i look at bill— they also charged me for changing the oil, filters and sharpening the blades… that dealer did that only 9 hours ago in the fall and i mowed with the tractor 1x before the snow started flying..so all of that was completely unnecessary and they gouged me for about an extra 500…thats the type of Deere dealer service I have been experiencing

To some extent I'm worried about resale value as well.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that this is the same guy who was behind the Cabela's tractor.Again, Summit is owned by the same guy that created the RK lineup for Rural King.

I am a John Deere fan too, but the price is not out yet on the Summit Tractor, it may not be a "cheep" tractor at all.I am not sure how good or bad this Summit tractor actually is, but I can say as a positive that did like that many of the most important features were standard.
But at the end of the day, I don't think Deere has anything worry about from Summit tractors.
The buyer that will buy this cheap tractor was looking for a cheap tractor and didn't care about reputation for quality and or future parts availability etc etc etc.
I just don't see this tractor taking any business way from Deere.
Then again I might be just an old Biased green machine Deere snob. LOL😁 😁
