Take out that little bolt right there by the green arrow. View attachment 865551
They came super late today err. Question to test to see if I got the right ones can I just plug them in without screwing the old ones out temporarily? Or does it need the screw to work?

why are you replaceing the coils??

a coil usually works or it don't.......one that works now is the same as a new one.....as in its not like changing points or a condensor. I'd not fiddle with a coil that is functioning fine ever.......

Tell us more sugerplum............

I have an error code 51. I called the dealer and they said it’s coil related and that’s why I have reduced engine power

I'd be checking grounds ...etc.

If new ones are coming..thats fine...Don't toss the factory ones till you figure out whats really going on....follow..?

What do you mean by Checking the grounds?

There will be wires that are fastened to the chassis or engine or negative battery post. A weak ground can cause all sorts of issues. Your pictures show a lot of corrosion and dirt. What kind of environment is this operated in?
First thing I would do is change out the spark plugs and see if that clears up your issue. Then move on to the coils. Troubleshooting electrical issues over the internet with someone lacking knowledge of how these systems work can be difficult.

Bought it from a campus. This may sound like a dumb question but how do I remove the spark plugs?

Alright so I bought a coil from the dealer today but it didn't come with the spark plug boot. Now I'm super confused. How do I attach the spark plug boot onto the coil?

Just want to update this thread if any one in the future is having the same issue as I was and stumbled across this thread.

I was able to determine which coil was bad by unplugging one of the spark plug boots at a time and then trying to start it. I unplugged the one and it started like it normally did. ( meaning that the one that was unplugged was bad as it was operating "normally" I unplugged the other one ( the good one) and it wouldn't start. So the one that allowed it to start I marked as good. I took an educated guess and gave it a shot.
Thanks to @MTB98 @Jimmy Walker for telling me how to get the coil wire in. ( You unscrew the other one, and screw this one in).

As soon as I started it I heard it raw like never before, It sounded brand new. ( It was in limp mode before) As I was getting a code 51. The light went off completely and it flys now.

Once again thank you to all that helped in these threads into getting my Gator back to normal ( At least for now nock on wood ) hahaha
